Yeshua (Jesus) Matthew 10:1-15, Power given to Apostles, Must preach Kingdom of Heaven! Minister's duty to reject wealth or payment

(This is a general interpretation of Holy Scripture. We encourage you to read the scripture for yourself and pray to GOD for knowledge, he will give you knowledge if you ask for it in prayer.)

In this lesson we learn about Yeshua's instructions to his Twelve Apostles with regard to the message of their ministry. Also, Yeshua gives amazing power to the Apostles to heal the sick and to raise the dead. Yeshua also gives specific instructions to his Ministers when to walk away from someone who refuses to receive the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven.

Matthew 10
1. And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
2. Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
3. Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;
4. Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.
5. These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6. But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
7. And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
8. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

We see that Yeshua gives power to his Apostles to do amazing things, such as raise the dead. But we also have to remember that Peter was the only (original) Apostle to raise the dead later on in the New Testament. We must also remember that out of the original 12 Apostles Peter had the greatest faith, as he demonstrated when we briefly walked on water. This power was given to all of us but it is highly unlikely that anyone would have faith enough to perform the miracles that we are all capable of performing.

Also Yeshua tells his Apostles NOT to preach the Kingdom unto the Gentiles but to preach to Israel FIRST.

Matthew 10
8. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
9. Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,
10. Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.

This is one of the most important instructions that Yeshua gave his Apostles and to us for that matter. We are to reject material wealth at all cost, especially when one is called to preach the Gospel. The underlying message here is to "freely ye have received, freely give". that means don't charge money for your services.

Matthew 10
11. And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.
12. And when ye come into an house, salute it.
13. And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
14. And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

15. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

Yeshua is telling his Apostles not to waste their time on people who simply refuse to receive the Kingdom of Heaven. There is a point when you simply have to walk away. Yeshua also tells us that those who refuse to receive the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven will receive, what appears to be, a greater punishment at the judgement for those who outright reject the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven.

Yeshua (Jesus) Matthew 9:18-38, Healing FAITH, touching the hem of His garment, healing in his wings Malachi 4:2, raising the dead, casting out devils

(This is a general interpretation of Holy Scripture. We encourage you to read the scripture for yourself and pray to GOD for knowledge, he will give you knowledge if you ask for it in prayer.)

We continue in Matthew 9. In this section of Matthew 9 we read about some of the most important deeds of Yeshua and the meaning behind them.

Matthew 9
18While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.
19And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples.
20And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:
21For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.
22But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

Malachi 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
The hem of his garment, the Tallit and the fringe or Tchellet.

Matthew 9

23And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise,
24He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn.
25But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose.
26And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land.

Enough said....

Matthew 9

27And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou son of David, have mercy on us.
28And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
29Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
30And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.
31But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country.

In the scripture above, when the woman had faith that she would be made whole if she touched the hem of his garment, faith healed the blind men, faith in GOD and in the Son of GOD Yeshua.

We must remember that with knowledge one must learn to be discrete, even though the blind guys didn't listen.

Matthew 9
32As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil.
33And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.
34But the Pharisees said, He casteth out devils through the prince of the devils.
35And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
36But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
37Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
38Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

With Matthew 9 one must READ the scripture and not depend so much on man's interpretation or commentary. Read, pray to GOD, atone for your sins through Yeshua, do the will of the Father Y.hweh and enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. Remember; once you start to do the will of the Father Y.hweh you must continue to do the will of the Father.

Yeshua (Jesus) Matthew 9: 1-17, Healings, Jesus can forgive sins (Isaiah 53), Jesus came for sinners first, Jesus the Bridegroom (Jeremiah 7)

(This is a general interpretation of Holy Scripture. We encourage you to read the scripture for yourself and pray to GOD for knowledge, he will give you knowledge if you ask for it in prayer.)

We continue with Matthew 9 where Yeshua continues to heal and reveals that He can forgive sins on earth. Yeshua also revealed that He came for the sick or the sinners, not the righteous.

Matthew 9

1And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.
2And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
3And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.

4And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?
5For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?

6But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.
7And he arose, and departed to his house.

Clearly Yeshua has the power to forgive sins. Yeshua is GOD'S WORD made Flesh, so the Word of GOD is Yeshua. Remember: Yeshua died for our sins. In Isaiah 53 we can read about the power that GOD gave him through Knowledge to justify our faith and to forgive our sins.

Isaiah 53
6All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
........
11He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
12Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

His knowledge is the unabated WORD of GOD.

Matthew 9

8But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.
9And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.
10And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.
11And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?
12But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
13But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Staying in Isaiah 53 we can find that Yeshua was the mediator between the sinners and GOD. Harking back to the Old Testament we can see that Yeshua was trying to cure the Pharisees ignorance but scripture says; they will not understand.

Isaiah 53

12Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Again, the WORD of GOD fulfilled in Yeshua.

Matthew 9

14Then came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not?
15And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.
16No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse.
17Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

We have to read Jeremiah to put this into context. When the Bridegroom, Jesus, leaves the earth, the curse of the Jews began at that point. Their House (Temple) was left unto them desolate by their own abominations.

Jeremiah 7
30For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith the LORD: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to pollute it.
31And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart.
32Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be called Tophet, nor the valley of the son of Hinnom, but the valley of slaughter: for they shall bury in Tophet, till there be no place.
33And the carcases of this people shall be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall fray them away.
34Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride: for the land shall be desolate.

Yeshua's (Jesus') Matthew 8:18-34, Procrastination, Ultimate Faith - Calming the Sea, Casting out Demons with Silence

(This is a general interpretation of Holy Scripture. We encourage you to read the scripture for yourself and pray to GOD for knowledge, he will give you knowledge if you ask for it in prayer.)

We continue with Yeshua's message in Matthew 8. In the latter section of Matthew 8 Yeshua teaches us about procrastination, faith and casting out yet again more demons.

Matthew 8

18Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave commandment to depart unto the other side.
19And a certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.
20And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

21And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
22But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead
.

This should be a lesson to all that GOD comes first in our lives, no matter what the situation may be. Even the anguish of the death of a loved-one doesn't not allow us to delay faith and should not hinder us from following Yeshua the Christ. Remember; GOD is the GOD of the living NOT the dead. Once your body is dead, it is worthless and unclean. Hopefully your spirit continues to live in the Kingdom of Heaven!

Matthew 8

23And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.
24And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.
25And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.
26And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
27But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

The key phrase in this section of scripture is "Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?". In my opinion, this does not mean that Yeshua is rebuking his disciples because they lost faith in Yeshua, who was sleeping on the deck of the ship, they lost faith in the Kingdom of Heaven . They should have known upfront that with their faith in GOD the Father and Yeshua they could have saved themselves. It sure didn't hurt having the Son of God on board with them either! But on the other hand; Yeshua could have meant that; he was on board and the disciples' fear was unfounded because the Son of GOD was on board with them. Just as he is in our daily lives!

Matthew 8
28And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.
29And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?
30And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding.
31So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.
32And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.

33And they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and told every thing, and what was befallen to the possessed of the devils.
34And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart out of their coasts.

Yeshua didn't have to do a thing or say anything to cast out the devils. As Yeshua's Brother James said in
James
2:19 "Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble."
Yeshua didn't need to scream, yell or jump up and down to cast out the devils. The devils knew upfront who Yeshua was and in fact it seems that Yeshua had mercy on the devils themselves by allowing them to do what they wanted, being cast into swine instead of the pit.

For GOD to work one must find peace and let his surroundings be peaceful, then GOD can work around you, in you and through you. The devils that possess so many people on earth will in-fact run from you if you have the peace and Holy Spirit of GOD and his Son Yeshua within you.
